Meeting someone new is always weird. When you first meet someone you have no clue of their intentions, your intentions. Will you click, will you get that butterfly feeling, will you miss him and constantly think about him? Or will it (most likely) fizzle out and you either become friends or just part ways?
I met my new man, D, at a local restaurant on July 1 . He lives in my neighborhood, just a few blocks from me. I was instantly interested in him when I met him, but decided to wait for him to contact me, which he did 3 days later. We decided to go out on a Monday and actually had a really good time. Happy hour turned into dinner, turned into drinks, turned into late night happy hour. I remember in my drunken haze thinking that I really wanted to make out with him. I even toyed with the idea of “dating” him?
We made plans to meet again on Friday. Though Wednesday rolled around and somehow we ended up hanging out for lunch, which turned into the afternoon, which turned into light couch cuddling, which led to happy hour, which led to drinks, which led to him spending the night. That was the short version. At some point in the afternoon, I decided I was going to make out with him, and I made it happen that night. We were on the couch and it just kind of happened.
I asked him then if he wanted to spend the night, and what boy says no to that? We get ready for bed, I give him an extra toothbrush I happened to have (everyone should have extra toothbrushes in their home for this exact reason.
Of course in bed things happened. I remember saying we had to go slow, or I move slow or something like that? But for the most part there was just a lot of touching and making out. It was nice and exactly what I needed. This excited me for a few reasons. Since my heartbreak I have not been able to think of anyone besides the ex. Also, making out is always hot… even if it is just making out and does not go further.
At some point we fell asleep but both woke up around 3:30 am. We cuddled a bit more, exchanged some small kisses and he rolled me on my tummy and rubbed my back and my ass a bit. I think that is what helped me fall back asleep. Then 5:30am rolled around and his cell phone alarm was beeping, as it was time for him to get up for work.
The last thing I remember was him kissing the back of my neck and I said, I’ll see you tomorrow. Then I fell back asleep for another two hours.
